The ON Site Audio Visual team of our Atlanta-based AV Alliance member ON Services supplied full live event production services for the 2024 and Beyond: Georgia Lodging Industry Forecast event the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCC) on September 7th. Novatech Creative Event Technology | Adelaide, Australia
On August 31 our Adelaide-based Australian member company Novatech Creative Event Technology celebrated its 22nd birthday. Many happy returns from all of us at AV Alliance!
On August 19 the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra brought to stage Nicholas Hooper’s original score for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Concert in front of an audience of thousands of Harry Potter fans. This was not the first time that Novatech created immersive audio technology for the ASO, as – among other projects – they had already brought Immersive Hyperreal Sound for the live concert of all the previous movie scores in the Harry Potter franchise, starting back in 2017.
For the third year in a row, Novatech supplied event technology for Illuminate Adelaide at the Adelaide Botanic Garden, in collaboration with Moment Factory, the team behind the show Light Cycles, to transform the Gardens into an illuminated wonderland. ES:ME Entertainment Services | Doha, Qatar
On August 23 artist Luke Jerram‘s world-famous touring masterpiece ‘Gaia’ arrived in Qatar, where it will be on show until 7 December. The impressive diameter size of 6 meters, this spectacular replica Earth – one of many currently on show around the world – is currently exhibited at the Northwestern University in Qatar. Our local member company ES:ME Entertainment Services was entrusted with the structure build and installation of the art piece.
AV MEDIA EVENTS | Prague, Czech Republic
Our Prague-based member AV MEDIA EVENTS recently provided technical support for the Czech Republic at Crossroads event, which took place at the O2 Universum in Prague, organized by the Czech Chamber of Commerce. Along with representatives of major companies participating in the discussion, Prime Minister Petr Fiala also spoke at the conference about the strategy of the Czech Republic for the next 30 years.
In partnership with CANAL+ Sport, AV MEDIA EVENTS provided their state-of-the-art production studio to broadcast all the English Premier League football matches for the duration of the season.
Special Effects Ltd | Budapest, Hungary
Peter Muller, the Chairman of the AV Alliance and Director of Possibilities at our Hungarian member company Special Effects Ltd. was nominated by Forbes to be featured on the cover of the special 10th birthday edition of Forbes magazine in Hungary.
satis&fy AG | Berlin & Frankfurt, Germany | Hilversum, Netherlands | Portrland, OR, USA
Our German member company satis&fy posted a recap of their involvement with the Ruhr Games 2023, the largest international sports and cultural festival for young people in Duisburg in early June. Following the opening concert that attracted 10,000 visitors on the first night, the Landschaftspark was converted overnight into a multi-sport area on 180 hectares to host 330 tournaments in 18 different sports for 5,200 athletes. satis&fy was commissioned for the AV technology and construction of the different locations, winner podiums and stands, as well as the technical infrastructure of the sporting event.
In early September satis&fy delivered lighting and audio technology for the NDR 2 Plaza Festival in Hanover, which attracted 25,000 daily visitors and featured artists such as Ellie Goulding and Peter Fox on Friday the 8th, followed by the N-JOY Starshow on Saturday the 9th, which boasted international headliners like Jason Derulo and Sean Paul.
Colortone Rental & Staging | Cleveland, OH, USA
Our Ohio-based member Colortone was the technical supplier of the Construction Employers Awards, where they provided two massive 7’x12’ projection screens and various monitors, as well as event lighting.
Colortone was entrusted with the technical production – including audio, video, and staging – of an event at the new Magnet Ohio headquarters, with a tight timeline of just under 24 hours.
AVFX | Boston, MA, USA
Our Boston-based memeber company AVFX supported the CenterStage gala held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The gala raised funds for research at the Mass General Cancer Center, a global leader in innovative cancer research. AVFX was commissioned by Rafanelli Events to supply AV technology and graphic design – including creating motion graphics – for the event.
AVFX recently hosted its 2023 Solutions Showcase in Boston, their first event technology showcase since 2019. The event served to highlight the best practices and case studies of our Boston-based member company from the past years, including the new technologies they have been using thanks to their new media department, integrated IT services, and ever-growing geographic footprint. RLA LATAM | Santiago, Chile
More than 50 Chilean companies participated in the 3-day, in-person Latam Business Meeting 2023 organized by ProChile in Panama, an event that convened 152 importers from all over the region, from 16 countries, with the purpose of generating commercial alliances. Our Chilean member company RLA LATAM was also there to take part in the commercial initiative.
On August 17th the Mandarin Oriental in Santiago, Chile hosted Premium Tasting, an event for wine lovers in which 39 of the most prominent wines of Chile were sampled by the most influential wine critics and industry media representatives of the world. Apart from the blind tasting and gastronomy specialities created by the kitchen staff and sommeliers of the Mandarin Oriental, the hotel also hosted two seminars, where prestigious 16 wines were presented by their creators. RLA Latam was responsible for the audio visual technology of the event as the Mandarin Oriental’s in-house AV provider.
Pixl Evolution | London, UK
This summer London-based Pixl Evolution was involved with rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires (currently featuring founding members Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith legend Joe Perry, with the addition of Tommy Henriksen), providing LED screens for the band’s UK arena tour in July 2023.
Podimatas S.A. | Athens, Greece
The annual Athens Flying Week International Airshow took place in early September, and it featured the Red Bull Showrun by Alumil S.A., which drew in over 160,000 spectators. Our local member Podimatas S.A. (together with its sister companies under Podimatas Group of Companies: PPDA, Upbeat, and our Serbian member Congress Rental Ltd.) was responsible for the production, construction, design, and management of the entire event in Nea Paralia, Thessaloniki, while also providing full audio visual production – including LED screens, lighting, and sound – for the race track itself.
Eclipse Global | London, UK
Gearhouse SA | Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban – South Africa
Our South African member Gearhouse SA was the preferred technical service provider of the annual Durban Fashion Fair this September, a 3-day show that features workshops, shows, a buyers lounge, and 50+ emerging local and international designers on the catwalk.
Gearhouse SA once again provided technical support to the annual Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals in Durban, supplying technical sound, lighting, AV, staging, as well as seating stands and stage design for the event.
Gearhouse Group of Companies came out together to provide technical production for the Netball World Cup 2023, which took place for the first time in Africa from the July 28 to August 6 at the Cape Town Convention Centre, for all events from the opening ceremony to the grand finale win.
Media Stage | Sunrise, FL, USA & San Juan, Puerto Rico
Our Miami-based member company Media Stage recently supported the Florida Panthers Media Day – for the sixth consecutive season – in partnership with the ice hockey team’s production staff and vendors to provide video and lighting support for the pre-season shoot. For this year’s event the team were able to put to use their new LED panels to create a curved LED wall to serve as the video backdrop, showing different looks for each player. Media Stage also provided a lighting rig with movers for effect and additional fixtures to provide backlighting for the camera shots. Read more here.
Habegger AG | Zurich, Switzerland
On September 26, our Zurich-based member Habegger AG, together with their partners Hallenstadion Zürich, the IR Club Switzerland, and Devigus Engineering AG, took part in the Virtual General Assembly – A Look Behind the Scenes live event in Zürch’s indoor stadium. where attendees were able to witness live what it takes to successfully organize a virtual general meeting.
Energy Zürich, the first Energy Radio station in Switzerland, celebrated its 20th anniversary with Energy Air, the company’s popular concert series, which took place for the first time at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich in front of around 50,000 visitors. This year, Habegger AG was again responsible for the entire host broadcasting with a crew of around 34 people. The concert was broadcast live on the TV channel blue TV Music.
Once again Habegger AG received multiple recognitions at the prestigious annual XAVER Award. For their Novo Nordisk – IO Frontline Focus 2022 project the team was awarded silver prize, while their projects IWC Booth Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022 and Nothing Phone (1) Reveal Event were awarded bronze. In addition, their Global Accelleron Day 2022 was voted the third most popular entry by the audience. Congratulations!
