The start of the new year also means that the créme de la créme of the AV industry gathers in the Catalonian capital for the annual Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show and conference. The prestigious event, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, took place between January 30th – February 2nd 2024 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via.
Over the years ISE has become the world’s leading audiovisual and systems integration exhibition on innovation in pro-AV technology, and this year’s was the most successful edition in the show’s 20-year history since its inception in Geneva in 2024. While ISE was already breaking records last year, in 2024 it attracted 27% more attendees in comparison, bringing in 73,891 unique verified attendees from 162 countries, and breaking further records with the number of single-day attendance on both the first and the last days of the show. Overall, ISE 2024 had 95,396 registrations in total with 172,627 visits during the four-day event, and sent the hospitality industry of Barcelona into an unprecedented frenzy to accommodate visitors arriving from all over the world.
For the AV Alliance, ISE is the most frequented industry trade show besides InfoComm, attracting our Members from Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. It is now our tradition to gather as many of them, together with our esteemed technology partners, at our “unofficial” – and increasingly large in size – AV Alliance dinners to help form even closer relationships within our global family, as well as to promote second and third level networking within the AV Alliance. This time around we not only had the pleasure to meet some of our newest members for the first time, but even got to celebrate the birthday of one of them in true AVA family style.
As always, almost all of our Sponsors – Barco, Disguise, d&b audiotechnik, Elation Lighting, Panasonic Connect, Yamaha, AV-Drop, Eurotruss, ROE Visual, Sennheiser, ARHT, IntelliEvent, and Theatrixx Technologies – were present on the record-sized 82,000 m2 exhibition floor, which this year hosted its largest-ever number of exhibitors (1,408).
