In the second part of the Summer Edition of our social media round-up we look back on the top news, projects, and updates by our AV Alliance members around the world in June and July, 2023!
AVP | Brussels, Belgium
Earlier this summer our Belgian member company AVP provided AV equipment for Erasme ULB Hospital‘s live-streamed medical interventions, as well as the auditorium where an audience could follow the surgeries in real-time during the Gastroenterology and Endotherapy European Workshop (GEEW) week in Brussels in June. The entire event was also livestreamed to online audiences.
This year’s GEEW, which also celebrated its 40th anniversary, brought together over 400 gastroenterologists, surgeons and endoscopy nurses from around the world to learn, connect, and elevate their practice to new heights. Through state-of-the-art lectures, interactive “how-I-do-it” discussions, and immersive hands-on sessions, attendees had the privilege of meeting and learning from world-class experts in the field.
Brill AV Media | Warsaw, Poland
Dorier SA | Geneva, Switzerland
In July, Geneva became the AI hotspot as the International Telecommunication Union hosted the AI for Good Summit, an influential platform driving AI advancements in global development priorities such as health, climate, and gender equality. After being involved in the 2019 event, this year our member company Dorier Group was once again responsible for the AV production of the summit, and also joined the digital AI generative art exhibition and conducted engaging workshops on immersive AI experiences, including one where participants could chat with Maradona in VR.
AV MEDIA Events | Prague, Czech Republic
At the end of June our Prague-based member AV MEDIA Events took part in the official launch of the brand new Ferrari Roma Spider on the Czech market. AV MEDIA supplied a complete sound and lighting system for the event, which took place at the Prague Eventery, including operators or a kabuki falling tire system.
Neumann&Müller Veranstaltungstechnik | Stuttgart, Germany
Neumann&Müller Veranstaltungstechnik has once again had the privilege to profide audiovisual technology for Red Bull Gameball Royale, the content creator event of the year in Hamburg’s Sporthalle earlier this year. Using a combination of “Dodgeball” and “Battle Royale,” the event generated 1.7 million live views on TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube. The N&M team supplied audio, lighting, video, and rigging, but also provided services of set construction, lighting design, content production, and real-time optical tracking to create an exceptional experience. The almost 200 m², 8K resolution LED floor in the middle of the hall was the highlight of the event.
satis&fy AG| Berlin & Frankfurt, Germany | Hilversum, Netherlands | Portrland, OR, USA
At the end of June our German member company satis&fy supplied full technical support, including event concept and design, logistics, sound, lighting, video, stage construction and decoration, for the 9th Future State & Administration Congress in Berlin. The event, which drew in 2,000 participants and focused on topics such as administrative digitization, safe and future-serving IT infrastructure, or the citizen-focus of the state, took place at satis&fy’s partner location WECC, the Westhafen Event & Convention Center Berlin, under the patronage of the Bundesministerium des Innern und für Heimat (Federal Ministry of the Interior). In cooperation with the WECC team, satis&fy took care of 5,000 m2 of exhibition & event space (both indoor & outdoor), 78 exhibition stands and lounges, as well as several stages & workshop areas.
The Fredenhagenhalle – satis&fy’s partner location – in Frankfurt welcomed the Copetri Convention 2023 earlier this year, which hosted over 4,000 participants and more than 100 exhibitors over the course of two days and six stages. The Copetri Convention is the only event in the DACH region that focuses on a trifecta in terms of concept and content: it combines themes — people, transformation and innovation — with a mix of networking, exhibition and conference. Our member satis&fy supported the event with concept design and execution, sustainable stand construction, and of course sound, video, and lighting throughout the duration of the convention, including all of its lectures, workshops, networking features, and much more.
Les Productions Expert’ease | Montréal, Canada
Reynold’s Sound & Lighting Services | Bangalore, India
Eclipse Global | London, UK
VIDELIO Events | Paris, Cannes, Toulouse – France
Out French member company Videlio announced that it had recycled 21.84 tonnes of electrical and electronic equipment waste (WEEE) in 2022. This amount is significantly higher than the same recycled waste Videlio recorded in the previous years: 10 tonnes in 2021, and 6.5 tonnes in 2020.
WEEE means waste of electrical and electronic equipment (also known as e-waste), and has many different categories. Of course some of these also apply to the audiovisual sector: for instance IT and telecommunications equipment, consumer equipment and electric or electronic tools – all in all anything used in the audiovisual industry, from batteries to printers and computers, from screens to luminaries, from cables to cameras, cell phones, GPS, etc.
Videlio Group is committed to achieve a better impact on the environment, and to operate under exemplary waste management and recycling principles.
Just like every year for the past two decades, Videlio’s post-production team supplied dozens of image editing, mixing, centralized storage, and transcoding stations to the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2023. These technical tools delivered and implemented by Videlio enabled all media professionals covering the festival to create their content on site under the same conditions as their daily editorials and productions do in the studio.
RLA LATAM | Santiago, Chile
Our Chilean AV Alliance member RLA LATAM is the official Event Services & Technologies partner of FIEXPO Latin America. The 2023 edition of the trade show hosted in Panama City Panama, for which RLA provided full audiovisual support, attracted more than 1,800 tourism professionals, including specialized suppliers, meeting organizers and corporate event professionals from the USA, Canada, Europe, and of course Latin America this June.
Once the summer is over, we will be back again with fresh news from the members of our global network.
